Fresh sourdough is the perfect alternative vessel for our crispy baked Kale & Quinoa Burgers.Layered up with some greens and melty cheese, vegan friendly if desired, carrot ribbons for a little extra crunch, and some buttery avocado.   • 1 -2 Strong Roots Kale & Quinoa Burgers
  • 2 slices of your favourite sourdough bread
  • ½ a ripe avocado mashed
  • 1 -2 slices of mozzarella or vegan friendly cheese of choice
  • Handful of carrot ribbons; created using a vegetable peeler
  • Handful of rocket or spinach
  • method (tick as you go)


    Preheat your oven to 200C (400F).


    Place kale and quinoa burger(s) on a baking tray and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and place whatever cheese you’re using on top of your burger(s).


    Return to the oven for 3 more minutes.


    Toast your bread and get ready to assemble!


    Spread avocado onto one slice of bread. Top with your burger(s), carrot ribbons and some greens.


    Slice of toasted bread on top, slice in half and dig in!
